Auctions
What began in 1991 as an experiment to complement traditional retail is now an integral part of the business. Under the brand name TheSwissAuctioneers, over 100 auctions have been held to date in Toffen, Lörrach, Zurich, Gstaad, Lucerne, Zug, and at Oberdiessbach Castle. TheSwissAuctioneers will continue to be an integral part of the Swiss auction scene in the future.
Place a bid
Available live on-site
. To participate in the auction in person, you can register as a bidder on-site on the day of the auction; once you have successfully registered, you will be assigned a bidder number.
Submit a written bid
. If you are unable to attend the auction in person and cannot be reached by phone, you have the option of submitting a written bid on one or more vehicles. In this case, a representative from TheSwissAuctioneers will bid on the respective lot number(s) on your behalf. Bidding will proceed in increments specified by the auctioneer. Therefore, in an ideal scenario—and once the reserve price is met—the vehicle may be awarded to you even if your written bid is lower than your maximum bid. However, if other bidders exceed your maximum bid, you will no longer be able to participate in the bidding process.
Here’s what you need to do if you wish to submit a written or telephone bid:
Fill out the form, which will be posted on our website in advance and can also be found on the last page of the auction catalog. Set your maximum bid for the respective lot number(s). If you wish to participate by phone, please provide the phone number where you can be reached on the day of the auction. Please email the completed and signed form to us by 8:00 PM at the latest on the day before the respective auction.

Bidding by Phone
If you are unable to attend the auction in person on the day of the auction but are interested in one or more vehicles—preferably ones you viewed during the preview—you can register to bid by phone. On the day of the auction, a representative from TheSwissAuctioneers will call you in advance. This representative will then relay your bids to the auctioneer in real time. You’ll stay on the line until the hammer falls and can place a bid at the last minute.
Bidding online at
Would you like to bid from the comfort of your home, office, or while on the go, but still follow the auction live? Then the best way to bid is online via www.invaluable.com. To do so, simply return to the Invaluable website on the day of the auction and click on the link for our auction. You can now follow the auction live and bid in real time on the lots that interest you.
We strongly recommend that first-time bidders register as bidders on Invaluable before the auction. To be approved as a bidder, you must create an account with a username and password. If you need assistance with this, please contact us by phone at +41 31 819 61 61.
